Portfolio: functional

While making functional ceramics, I am interested in creating a smooth, natural form, complemented by a glaze combination that inspires the audience to pause where the colors meet. I am particularly intrigued by the interactions between glazes, whether the colors begin to run, separate, or combine into a pane of glass. Most of the work in this portfolio walks the viewer through my favorite of these interactions, hosted on a simple form that lends a dynamic quality to the color.
